What is the agro climate zone?

as per FAO(food and agriculture organization), the agro climate zone is an area characterized by unique local climatic which is suitable for certain crops. Agro climate zone is divided for agriculture suitability and it will help the land use planning.
Based on the physiographic, soils, climate, cropping pattern, rainfall,m mineral, and irrigation availability, the planning commission of India divided India into 15 agro-climatic zones.
