Integrity-A way of life

First of all, what is integrity & how it is different from honesty?
Honest people do not do the things that are morally wrong but integrity people do not even think or express the things which are morally wrong.

Integrity Vs Honesty

When your thinking, expression, and action work in harmony then you are the man of integrity because you are integrating the thinking, expression, and action into one function.  However, this not sufficient for integrity, if your action, thinking, and expression are not helping society. If you are high in moral value( i.e act as per own conscience) but lacking in virtue ( i.e good values for society), you will not be a man of integrity. For example, if your conscience says stealing is good and you are stealing as per your conscience, you are not the man of integrity because stealing is not a virtue. So finally, you will be called the man of integrity when your virtuous thinking, expression & action work in harmony. The following examples will more elaborate on the concept of integrity:
If you are helping others, but your conscience is against this helping then you will not be an integral person because your conscience is not integrated into your act.
Integrity is choosing your thought & actions based on the virtuous values not for personal gain.
Real Integrity is doing the right things, knowing that nobody is going to know whether you did it or not. ( Oprah Winfrey)

What will happen if integrity is not a way of life?

Without integrity, there is no way of life. The following problems come in the absence of integrity:

• Dangerous for society: A person with a high IQ level having no integrity is the most dangerous person for society & world peace. For example, Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler.
• Self-guilt or no mental peace: If you are acting something else which is not as per your own conscience, it led to feeling self-guilt or depression.
• Corruption: If you are doing the things for personal gain which is not virtuous to society, it will be led the corruption.
• Loss of reliability: If your action & thinking is changing based on merit or personal gain, you will not be believed by someone not even by family members.
• Bad character Guy: If you are honest in personal life but not honest in public life, someone else action will damage your personal life. As everyone is interconnected in this world.
• Unhealthy public life: If you are honest in public life but not in private life, you will not get peace at home and ultimately it will backfire you in public life.

There is a famous quote by Warren Buffett " if you are hiring a person having high intelligence & energy but no integrity, it will kill you".

Integrity-a way of life:

There are two famous sayings:

• Live life in such a way that if someone spoke badly of you, no one will believe it.
• Live life in such a way that when your children think of fairness and integrity, they think of you.

How to make the integrity-a way of life? 

• The most important thing is that do not even think & express which is not moral/ethical to the world. Yow must have honest to self, family and for the world.
• Do not compromise own values for the sake of temporary gains. Do what your own conscience says with keeping in mind it will not harm to others.
• Live life as per your own belief system, make your own standard, it will make you a leader.
• Do not make feel inferior to others
• Must owner your word, it will make you a reliable personality.
• Make accountable yourself for your actions.
• Do justice to yourself and for others.

Integrity is the first & last step to make the whole earth as a family and it is key for universal brotherhood. Integrity is the solution to problems that we are facing today such as corruption, crims, pollutions, cheating, depression, social unrest, intolerance, riots, etc. Integrity provides peace for individuals and for society both internally & externally. If everyone will make the integrity-a way of life then the world will be amazing not only for humans but also for the entire organism.
