The following are the main features of Fundamental duties:
- Fundamental duties are based on the Swaran Singh committee, Some recommendations that were not included in FDs are listed below:
- Duty to pay tax
- Punishment in case of violation of FDs
- In 42nd CAA in 1976, fundamental duties (article 51-A) were added in part 4-A of the Indian constitution.
- It was borrowed from the USSR constitution (now Russia).
The following are the 11 fundamental duties:
- Duty to respect National flag, the national anthem, respect the idea mentioned in the Indian constitution.

- To uphold and protect the Sovereignty, integrity, and unity of India
