What is the Physiographic region?
A geographical region is a land unit in which homogeneity is found in the geographical landforms and relief. On the basis of uniformity in geographical landforms and relief, India can be divided into 6 major geographical regions:
- Himalayan mountain range
- northern plains
- Indian desert
- peninsular plateau
- coastal plain
- islands
