- Media help the shaping of the perception of the masses.

- The business house also influences the media to spread the one side or biased information in order to get the benefits.

The media sets an agenda on what to present or skip. By focusing the particular issues, media influence our perception, thought, and course of action; shaping the thought is commonly known as "sets the agenda".
- Positive effect:
- Media draw attention to some specific problems such as environment, flood, terrorism that help in finding the solution
- Bringing the right attention, sometimes bring justice to people.
- Negative effect:
- Some time media fails to make the actual problems. For example, Businessmen, celebrities, or politicians came in highlighted news but problems of poor people, slums, etc do not get attention from the media.
