Mishmi Hills ( मिश्मी पहाड़ियाँ ):

  • Mishmi hills are located in the North-Eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh. 
  • It is named after the Mishmi tribes.
  • It is the junction of the Northeastern Himalaya and Purvanchal range. 
  • The major area of the Dihang Dibang biosphere reserve is located in the Mishmi hills. 


Lipulekh Pass (लिपुलेख दर्रा):

  • Lipulekh is a Himalayan pass located between India and China. 
  • It is located near the Trijunction of India, Nepal, and China ( in Uttarakhand).


Beas River (व्यास नदी ):

  • Beas river rises at Rohtang la ( Beas Kund) from central Himachal Pradesh. 
  • Beas river is known as Vipasa in ancient India. 
  • Manali has situated on the bank Beas river. 
  • Beas river completely lies in India and the mouth of the river is Satluj.


Rihand Dam (रिहन्द बांध ):

  • Rihand dam is also known as Govind Vallabh pant Sagar. The Rihand dam is on the Rihand River, a tributary of the Son river. 
  • It is at Pipri ( near Renukoot) in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. 
  • Singrauli and Sonbhdra region has transformed from an agricultural-based society to an industrial-based society due to the construction of the Rihand Dam in the region.

Amarnath (अमरनाथ):

  • Amarnath is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages and it is famous for the natural formation of Shiva linga from snow in winter. 
  • It is located at Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
