The number of people in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kanpur, and Patna is increasing very fast and that is why they have emerged as important nodes.
Bangalore is the IT capital of India. Due to the favorable climate and favorable working conditions, most of the IT offices in India are located in Bangalore. Due to the boom of IT industries and economic opportunities in Bengaluru, the population of Bengaluru is growing very fast.
Hyderabad is the most important city for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Most importantly it is the capital of Telangana with a major technology hub and is very important for the Telugu film industry. Due to these reasons, the population in Hyderabad is increasing rapidly.
Delhi-NCR is a convergence zone of very diverse cultures and people, due to huge economic opportunities, the population is growing very fast.
Kanpur is the economic capital of Uttar Pradesh and is famous for textile, leather, and other industries.
Patna is the largest city in Bihar and it is also the primate city of Bihar as the population of Patna is 5 times more than the next city of Bihar (Gaya).
Apart from population growth, these cities are attracting resources like capital, talent, etc. from the surrounding areas and are emerging very fast. This is the reason why Bangalore and Hyderabad in the South and Delhi, Kanpur, and Patna in North India have emerged as important nodes.
