Answer.
Badrinath is a major Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Uttarakhand Himalayas which is part of the Himalayan geographical division of India. The source of the Alaknanda River (the main tributary of the Ganges) is Badrinath and the mouth of the river Ganges is the Bay of Bengal ( the Sunderbans Delta).
If we walk along the Ganges river from Badrinath to the Sundarban delta, then on the way the following main topographies will come-
On the banks of the river in the Uttarakhand Himalayas, we get to see deep gorge valleys, V-shaped valleys, waterfalls, and mountains with steep slopes.
As soon as the river Ganges enters the plain from the Shivalik Himalayas, we get the Bhabar belt, in which large rocks and rocks are found.
As the river Ganges crosses the Bhabar plain, we find the Terai belt which is a marshy land. Corbett National Park is situated in the Terai plain of the Ganges.
As the river Ganges crosses the Terai plain, we find the alluvial plain formed by the Ganges.
The major geomorphic in the Ganges alluvial plain is Khadar and Bangar. The Khadar plain is found in a river floodplain.
The alluvial plains of the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal provide important topographical features such as the Curvy River stream (Meandering River), the Braided River (the mainstream of the river flows into several small streams), and the Oxbow Lakes.
Finally, it forms the Sunderbans Delta, the largest delta in the world, at the mouth of the Ganges River.
