Gersoppa fall is also known as jog fall. It is on the Sharavati river of Karnataka. It is located in the Western Ghats.
Jog waterfall is the third highest waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai water-fall of Meghalaya and the Dudhsagar water-fall of Goa. It has a total 253-meter height. The whole jog falls come in four drops[steps].
Sharavati river is one of the west-flowing rivers and it is entirely located in Karnataka. The origin of the Sharavati river is in the Ambutheertha hills of the western ghats. The total length of the Sharavti river is about 128 km.
