Plants and animals are our living wealth and very important natural resources. Plants and animal are interdependent as plants provide food, oxygen, and shelter to animals and animals helps in pollination, carbon dioxide, and organic fertilizer. So, both plants and animals are needed to be conserved.
Changes in climate change and human interference like poaching, habitat fragmentation, deforestation, pollution, forest fire, soil erosion, mining, etc have resulted in a decrease in plants and animals.
The name of two steps that the government has taken to conserve plants and animals are-
Establishment of the biosphere reserve, national park, and wildlife sanctuary. It provides a safe natural habitat for plants and animals that prevent human interference like mining, industrial setup, and poaching.
