Name of fiber ( Fibre) crops is cotton and jute. Jute is also known as "Golden Fibre".
Climatic conditions required for cotton fiber crops:
- Cotton crops require high temperatures, light rainfall, and two hundred and ten (210) frost-free days and bright sunshine.
- Cotton crops grow best in the tropical region but also grow in the subtropical region.
- Cotton crops best on black and alluvial soils.
- Major cotton producers countries are China, the USA, India, Pakistan, Brazil, and Egypt.
Climatic conditions required for jute fiber crops:
- Jute fiber requires high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and a humid climate.
- Jute crops grow best to grow on tropical regions.
- It grows well in alluvial soils.
- India and Bangladesh are major jute producers in the world.
