Answer.
The state of Mizoram has the largest area under forests. According to the India State of Forest Report 2013-14, about 91 percent of the geographical area of Mizoram state is under forest cover. Arunachal Pradesh comes second after Mizoram.
With respect to the largest forest cover, Madhya Pradesh has the largest forest cover in India, although the area under forests in Madhya Pradesh is about 25 percent of its state's total geographical area.
