The northernmost latitude of India is degrees is 37° 6' N and it is located in Ladakh Union territory.
The southernmost latitude of mainland India is 8° 4' N and it is located in Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
The southernmost latitude of India is 6° 45' N and it is located at the southern portion of Great Nicobar island.
The westernmost longitude of India is 68° 7' E and it is located at the westernmost location of Gujarat.
The easternmost longitude of India is 97° 25' E and it is located at the easternmost location of Arunachal Pradesh.
Kanyakumari is the place which is located on the Tamilnadu coast is the place situated on the three seas-Indian Ocean on the southern side, the Arabian sea on the western side, and the Bay of Bengal on the eastern side. Kanyakumari is also known as Triveni Sangam due to the confluences of the three seas. It is also a confluence of the western coastal plain and eastern coastal plain of India. Kanyakumari is also known as Cape Comorin.
