Flora and fauna are both living resources that are very helpful for the country's socioeconomic development.
The following are the differences between flora and fauna:
Plants' community of a particular region or period is denoted as flora whereas animal species of a particular region or period are denoted as fauna.
Example of flora is Trees, grasses, bushes, ferns, algae, and fungi whereas example of fauna are animals, birds, fishes, and microorganism.
India has 47000 flora species and it has 10th place in the world whereas India has more than approx 90,000 fauna species.
Most of the flora communities can make their own food through photosynthesis whereas fauna can not make food on their own they are dependent on flora directly and indirectly.
Flora can not move whereas fauna can move.
The study of flora is called botany whereas the study of fauna is called zoology.
