As we know that under certain conditions the rock changes its form in a cyclic manner. Hence here limestone is a type of sedimentary rock while marble is a type of metamorphic rock.
Limestone turns into marble when exposed to high pressure and heat.
Limestone is a type of sedimentary rock that is formed after calcium and magnesium particles have been compressed and hardened.
When for some reason the limestone rocks get buried in the depth of the earth, due to the extreme pressure of the upper rocks and due to the extreme temperature, the limestone gets converted into marble which is a type of metamorphic rock.
