Answer.

An ecosystem is a functional unit of the environment. An ecosystem is a system in which all living organisms interact with each other and with the physical (soil, precipitation, minerals, etc.) and chemical factors (oxygen, sunlight, nutrients, salinity, pH, etc.) of the environment in which they live. All the living and non-living factors of the ecosystem are connected by the transfer of energy and matter.


An ecosystem is a geographic area where plant and animal communities interact with each other and with their physical environment.


Examples of ecosystems are pond ecosystems, river ecosystems, grassland ecosystems, desert ecosystems, tropical rainforests, marine ecosystems, etc.
