Answer.
Those economic activities which are related to the production of goods, extraction of minerals, or provision of services are called industries.
For example,
We have iron and steel industries which are concerned with the production of goods (iron).
We have coal mining industries that deal with the extraction of coal.
We have the tourism industry as the service provider that provides services.
Industries can be manufacturing industries or service industries; Manufacturing industries come under secondary activities and service industries come under tertiary industries.
