There is much relevance of accountability in the context of civil servants, some relevance is the following-
It ensures transparent functioning and public beliefs; Accountability reviews the work of the civil servant, which inspires them to transparent functioning. The transparent functioning of the public servant enhances public trust.
Increases efficiency; When civil servants know that they are answerable for delayed actions or mistakes in their work, it tends to increase efficiency.
Prevention of corruption; Civil servants know that they are accountable for their actions, and it prevents them from involvement in the misuse of power or corruption.
In conclusion, we can say that relevance of accountability in civil servants are many like ensuring transparent functioning, reducing corruption, and increasing public trust in government institutions.
