Non-partisanship ensures neutrality towards political parties and commitment to constitutional values of transparency, fairness, objectivity, and equality.
Non-Partisanship is relevant in the context of civil services in the following ways-
It serves the public interest; Non-Partisanship ensures civil servants serve the public interest without being influenced by political considerations.
It ensures fairness; Non-partisanship is essential for ensuring that all citizens are treated fairly and equally, rather than personal or political consideration.
