Artificial intelligence can be used in military sectors in the field of artificial weapons, surveillance, data analysis, and decision-making support.
Artificial intelligence has a wide range used in civil sectors in the field of healthcare, transportation, and call center.
The following are the roles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the military sector-
Autonomous Weapon System; Artificial intelligence ( AI) can be used to detect, track, and engage targets without human intervention. This can reduce the risk of human soldiers and increase the accuracy and speed of military operations in inaccessible areas like the Himalayan region.
Decision-making support; Artificial intelligence ( AI) can be used to process vast data and provides the best possible decision for the military operation to the commander. This can reduce human error in decision-making, by including every possible alternative and factor relating to the decision.
Surveillance: Artificial intelligence ( AI) can be used to identify potential threats and track enemy movement by analyzing satellite imagery and other footage and images.
Training: Artificial intelligence ( AI) can be used for training and simulation of defense personnel. Augmented reality ( AR) provides interactive experiences, that combine both the real world and the virtual world ( that is created by artificial intelligence).
