    Question.

What is a globe?

( Chapter 2: Globe: Latitudes and Longitudes, Class 6- The Earth: Our Habitat ( GEOGRAPHY), SOCIAL SCIENCE)

Answer.

A globe is a three-dimensional representation of the Earth. It's a spherical model that accurately depicts the Earth's surface, including its continents, oceans, and other geographical features.

Globe is an object that reflects the miniature form of Earth. Globe is truly modeled off the Earth.

Globe rotates the same way as the earth rotates that is west to east.

Globe tilts the same as Earth which makes 66.5 degrees from the orbital plane.

Globe may be small size like a ball or can be big.

Globes are used for educational purposes, navigation, and as decorative items. They provide a more accurate portrayal of the Earth's shape and geography compared to two-dimensional maps.
