Answer. 

The monsoon winds enter the Indian subcontinent from the Indian Ocean in the South West Direction during summer months, which bring moisture-laden air from the Indian Ocean towards the Indian landmass. These monsoon winds get bifurcated into- Arabian branch of monsoon and Bay of Bengal branch of monsoon. 

Bhojpur region of Bihar receives rains from the Bay of Bengal branch of South West Monsoon. The Bay of Bengal branch of monsoon winds enters the Bhojpur region of Bihar from the eastern direction, which is why it is called "Purvaiya (Eastern)". 

Influences of  "Purvaiya" ( easterly)" on the cultural ethos of the Bhojpur region:

The following are the cultural ethos of "Purvaiya" ( easterly) in Bhojpur region:

Cultural Celebrations( Festivals and Rituals):

Many local festivals of the Bhojpur region like Teej, Sawan, and "Kanwar Yatra" are related to "Purvaiya" ( easterly) winds. These celebrations reflect a deep connection between nature and culture.
